Promoting the development of healthy and active lifestyles for students is the focus of this unique program. It supports campers in developing an appreciation for athletics, health, physical activity and lifelong wellness.
The program combines in-class instruction (through workshops, videos, and health and nutrition lessons), with on the field (or in the water) experience. Students are coached in various sports including swimming, ultimate frisbee, flag football and soccer. They also have the chance to play and compete in other sports throughout their time with us. The program emphasizes all on healthy habits
Sports and Wellness component
The main element of this program is the overall wellbeing as well as physical health. Students will participate in daily physical activities that promote healthy living. They will learn about the connection between good nutrition, physical activity and being better learners
Swimming, Ultimate frisbee, Flag football, and Soccer are the main sports. Students will be required to pick their main sport of choice and the majority of the coaching will happen for the chosen sport. They will also have some opportunities to participate in the other sports.
We will also offer the students a FirstAid Certificate
A major element of the program is immersion in an English-speaking environment. In-class instruction will be offered in English, giving campers the opportunity to improve their vocabulary and overall language skills.
